Frank Romano Scoglitti Beach tutorial

Doing a long-distance shoot presents a whole new set of challenges which you may not have thought of.

This is a unique tutorial where Gina takes on a new challenge and learns from it – and so will you!

Gina and fellow photographer, Frank Romano, decided to do an interesting shoot while on a trip to Sicily. Frank suggested Gina photograph him “suited up” and standing on a lone rock out in the middle of the bay, holding a Campari.

This was a really tricky shoot. Gina had lots of issues with her triggers not firing and photographing someone who is very far away from you means it’s virtually impossible to communicate.

They got the shot in the end and while the mistakes Gina made were frustrating, she knows she will be better prepared for the next long-distance shoot.
