We take you behind the scenes of an actor’s editorial shoot. Here, Gina and Valerie discuss the planning process, determining what needs to be achieved, the different “looks” needed, how she achieved her goals in the setting provided and when and why lighting was brought in.
They reveal what techniques were used to create moody settings and how to shoot in almost pitch black circumstances and how to create beautiful backgrounds out of nothing.

Familiar in all genres of music from gospel to jazz to classical. He started performing at a very young age. He competed in the famous “Show Time at the Apollo” at age 10. From there he went to the prestigious Governors School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville, SC for his High school studies and then to the esteemed Manhattan School of Music in New York City and Juilliard to pursue a Vocal Performance degree.
Most recently seen as Jim Conely and Newt Lee in Parade with the Collective Company in Melbourne, Australia receiving raving reviews and in Showboat with the Production Company in Melbourne, Australia at the State Theatre. Other Australian credits include his one man Tribute to Sammy Davis Jr. and National Anthem soloist for the American Australian Association.
Toured the United States with musician Wynton Marsalis, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra in “Abyssinian A Gospel Celebration”. American Musical credits include: Fred in Smokey Joes Café, Duane in Hairspray, Riah in Rip Tide, Doo Wop Singer in Book of Love, and Nubian/Mereb u.s. in AIDA the musical. American Opera credits include: Prisoner in AIDA at the Metropolitan Opera, Parable of the Sower at New York City Opera, Joe understudy in Showboat with Opera Naples, and La Boheme with Dicapo Opera. Off-Broadway: Mama I want to Sing. International Tour: (Russia, Greece, Latvia, Estonia, and Poland in the opera Porgy and Bess playing the role of Jim). Mingo in Porgy and Bess in Szeged, Hungary for the 25th Anniversary Open Air Festival. National Anthem Soloist at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
