About Anna
Photography has been in my world from an early age, my Dad always photographed us and took beautiful soulful shots of us in black and white film. I used to go and sit amongst our photo albums and absorb them for hours. My Mum went to art school and used to take us to Art Museums with a pencil and sketchbook and we’d draw what we saw, so art and photography are in my blood. Travelling is one of my biggest passion I’ve lived all over the world including South Africa, Vietnam and the Wild West coast of Vancouver Island, Canada where my son was born.
I’m an ‘extroverted’ introvert so people watching Is one of my favourite pastimes; This definitely translates into my passion for Photography.

Having a baby skyrocketed my creativity. It’s true to say your babies become your muse.. Just like with my own family, authentically capturing the real and the raw and telling your story is what drives me. I believe firmly that every ones story is special. My own family is growing a and if I am not documenting them then I feel I am losing parts of them.

I am hugely sentimental and nostalgic and for me photography is my ticket back to moments and times. I really truly am grateful for the images I have of loved ones who have passed away, to be able to see their likeness and take me back to times with them is priceless to me. It’s something I try to translate in my work with clients, helping them to get their ticket back to a time, a moment, something special and important. To me, Photographs are a special little note, tucked inside an old favourite jacket for your future self to find, to look at with eyes beautifully aged by wisdom recalling the person you have been in the different chapters of your life.

My style of photography and my education is always ongoing and evolving, I hope it empowers people to feel wonderful about themselves.
